Eddy Current Testing (ECT) is a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) method that relies on the principle of electromagnetism to detect discontinuities (flaws) on and near the surface, as well as to measure other properties of conductive materials.

ECT is highly effective and sensitive for the inspection of electrically conductive materials, such as metals.
